Student Rules – DOs and DON’Ts
DOs:
- Attend school on time.
- Bring all required textbooks, exercise books, stationery, and homework to class.
- Comply with classroom discipline and obey teacher’s instructions.
- Listen attentively to the teacher in class.
- Be quiet and maintain a respectful learning environment.
- Raise your hand to speak or ask questions.
- Ask for the teacher’s permission to leave the classroom.
- Clean up trash before leaving the classroom.
- Walk quietly on the right side of the hallway.
- Show respect and courtesy to fellow students, teachers, and school staff.
- Study Chinese at home and complete homework on time.
DON’Ts:
- Leave the classroom without the teacher’s approval.
- Disrupt class and/or the learning climate.
- Disobey teachers, school officials, and volunteers who are assisting school officials.
- Engage in intimidation, harassment, or physical/verbal abuse towards others.
- Cheat on homework, quizzes, and/or examinations.
- Move, modify, or damage school property.
- Draw on walls, tables, chairs, or any school facilities.
- Possess or use dangerous articles or toys unrelated to school programs.
- Use another person’s property without permission.
- Run, chase, or climb anywhere other than in the designated playground area.
- Shout, push, and/or engage in fights on school premises.
For Online Classes:
DOs:
- Be on time for each class.
- Choose a quiet room to ensure better focus.
- Be prepared with all required textbooks, exercise books, stationery, and homework.
- Comply with online classroom discipline and obey teacher’s instructions.
- Turn on the camera so the teacher can see you.
- Stay muted when you enter the meeting room.
- Raise your hand to ask questions or participate in discussions.
- Stay on topic and contribute to the class.
- Be respectful to fellow students and teachers.
- Complete homework on time.
- Inform the teacher in advance of any planned absences.
DON’Ts:
- Be late for online classes.
- Keep your camera turned off unless instructed by the teacher.
- Speak without the teacher’s permission.
- Disrupt class and/or the online learning environment.
- Make noises or send unrelated text messages during class.
- Draw or scribble on the teacher’s slides or materials.
- Engage in intimidation, harassment, or verbal abuse towards other students.
- Cheat on homework, quizzes, and/or examinations.
By following these student rules, we can create a positive and conducive learning environment that fosters academic growth, respect, and a sense of responsibility among all students at Latin American School.
