Photo and Video Release Policy

Photo and Video Release Policy – Latin American School

At Latin American School, we occasionally capture photos and videos of students and their activities for promotional and educational purposes. The purpose of this policy is to outline our practices and ensure transparency and consent regarding the use of such media.

Consent for Media Release:
a. By enrolling in the Latin American School, students and their parents or guardians grant permission for the school to capture, use, and publish photos and videos of the student for promotional and educational purposes.
b. This includes, but is not limited to, the school’s website, social media platforms, brochures, newsletters, press releases, and other promotional materials.
c. The media may be used by the school for an indefinite period unless otherwise requested in writing by the student or their parent/guardian.

Withdrawal of Consent:
a. If, at any time, a student or their parent/guardian wishes to revoke their consent for the use of their photos or videos, they must submit a written request to the school administration.
b. Once the request is received and processed, the school will cease using the media for promotional or educational purposes. However, it is important to note that previously published media may still be used as per the initial consent granted.

Respect for Privacy:
a. The Latin American School takes privacy and confidentiality seriously. While efforts are made to ensure that students’ personal information and images are used responsibly, the school cannot guarantee that third parties will not capture or share media during school events or activities.
b. The school will take reasonable measures to protect students’ privacy and ensure that any media captured and used by the school adheres to applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Exclusion from Media:
a. If a student or their parent/guardian prefers that their photos or videos not be taken or used by the school, they must inform the school administration in writing.
b. The school will make reasonable efforts to respect this request. However, it is important to note that it may not always be possible to exclude a student entirely from group photos or videos that capture larger school events or activities.

Third-Party Media:
a. The Latin American School cannot be held responsible for photos or videos taken by third parties during school events or activities. This policy applies specifically to media captured and used by the school itself.

By enrolling in the Latin American School, students and their parents or guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this photo and video release policy. The school will make every effort to ensure the responsible use of media while respecting the privacy and preferences of students and their families.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the photo and video release policy, please contact the school administration for further assistance.
